Hampton offers Electroconvulsive Therapy on both an inpatient and an outpatient basis to all of our clients who meet the standard protocols.
We are looking for a seasoned Registered Nurse with proven leadership skills to continue to guide our Department.
The Director of ECT oversees the staff in admission, procedure room and discharge process.
They will work alongside top physicians in the field assisting with ECT treatments, ensuring policy and procedures for each treatment are followed and documented, and regulatory compliance is maintained.
This person will ensure medication management guidelines are followed for each patient's treatment, coordinating with the inpatient unit or outpatient referral any admission or ongoing ECT treatment requirements.
In order to be successful in this role this person must maintains a positive and collaborative relationship with physician groups, assists with audits of ECT procedures, and providing follow up calls to discharged patients.
The Director of ECT will also be required to educate staff, patients, families and referral sources on our process and the benefits of ECT procedures.

QualificationsLicensure/Certification/Registration:
Current licensure in the State of New Jersey as a Registered Nurse; BLS/ACLS Healthcare provider as well as having IV Certification training.
Successful completion of training in CPR and Handle with Care within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:
2yrs of ICU or ER experience required; Procedural room experience in administering moderate sedation preferred.
2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience preferred.
ECT or recovery room experience preferred.
Able to perform iv puncture, start and monitor IV's, read EKG's and arrhythmias Special
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members.
Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Ability to maintain healthy personal boundaries, protecting the therapeutic integrity of the nurse patient relationship.
Excellent customer service proficiency.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
