Compliance Specialist

As a Compliance Specialist, you will work in a Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement department in Mt. Holly, Burlington County, NJ.
Conduct billing audits, analyze data, develop and present appropriate reports to programs and organizational leadership agency wide
Review critical incidents, assess for risk, developing safeguards; and recommending changes to practices,
Engaging with programs and organizational leadership to review processes and results of audits
Monitoring corrective action plans to ensure that proper steps are taken to resolve any compliance issues and necessary adjustments to billing and state reporting
Accepting grievance calls while acting as a liaison between persons served and programs agency wide
Providing compliance training to agency staff as part of their orientation
Serving on agency committees that are supported by the Quality Department
Helping to develop performance improvement strategies to support compliance, clinical and organizational outcomes
Assisting with activities relating to licensing and accreditation visits, external audits, etc.

Bachelor's degree in behavioral health related field with at least two years experience in a behavioral healthcare setting;
Master's degree a plus;
Familiar with regulatory (DMHAS, DDD, DCF) and billing standards (Medicaid, Medicare, MCO's), outcome measurements and performance improvement initiatives.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
