Medical Records Specialist

As a Medical Records Specialist, you will work in an administrative setting in Mt. Holly, Burlington County, NJ.
Responsibilities:
Prepare records for storage
Maintain accurate logs of records received and disseminated by Medical Records
Retrieve and disseminate records as requested
Ensure requests for records are handled in a timely, accurate and courteous manner
Review requests for release of confidential documentation to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations
Prepare requested documentation for release to external sources
Coordinate with programs for accurate, complete and timely submission of Unusual Incident Reports (UIR).
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to data entry and other clerical tasks

Requirements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
Some college preferred
Medical Records experience required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
