Franchised Front Desk Associate/Night Auditor

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, MTP Hospitality Solutions. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
Maintain responsibility and accountability for the hotel property and the safety of guests, and have authority for the hotel operations while on duty.
Greet and register guests and provide room assignments accommodating special requests whenever possible.
Have working knowledge of reservations procedures, take reservations, and know cancellation procedures and Walk Policy.
Handle guest check-ins and checkouts efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner.
Handle complaints courteously, relay through Supervisor for appropriate action.
Handle lost and found by taking relevant messages and completing Lost and Found form and directing to proper department.
Communicate with incoming shift by logging pertinent information in the front office log.
Complete Daily Revenue Report during each shift.-Complete appropriate shift checklist nightly.
Special Circumstances:
As the Night Auditor may be sole front office individual at some properties and may function as evening manager on duty, position may require significant amount of walking.
Environmental Conditions: Inside:
Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Ability to work evening schedule as Night Auditor's chief responsibility is to balance the day's receipts.
If functioning as M.O.D., it is necessary to perform outside assignments, i.e. monitoring of parking lot or grounds.
Essential Skills:
Requires knowledge of auditing, bookkeeping, and accounting procedures to include report preparation. Requires knowledge of front desk/reservations procedures and may require knowledge of Manager on Duty responsibilities, to include knowledge of interdepartmental communications. Requires ability to operate all Front Office Equipment. Must have ability to handle/resolve guest complaints and/or knowledge/understanding of when and how to direct the guest to receive assistance. Must have ability to professionally represent the hotel, deal positively with the public in person and over the telephone.
Job Requirements:
Requires ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holiday.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
