JOB SUMMARY:???????Answers inquiries and obtains information for general public, consumers, visitors and other interested parties.? May assist with other general clerical duties


  1. Greets consumers and visitors, determines nature of business and directs them appropriately

  2. Answers, screens and directs incoming calls

  3. Maintains visitor log

  4. Provides callers with information about agency/program services

  5. Listens to and assists with resolving simple customer complaints

  6. Performs basic data entry/word processing, as required

  7. Transmits information or documents using computer, mail or fax machine

  8. Assists with other general clerical duties, as required

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:? Knowledge of principals of customer service; knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems; active listening skills; oral/written communication skills; service orientation skills; basic telephone skills; basic data entry skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:??High School diploma or GED.? Basic word processing and keyboarding skills. ?Must pass skills test.? General working knowledge of office equipment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
